I put 17x10.5 bullitt wheels on a 1996 cobra +28mm offset with nitto 315/35/17, they hit the quad shock on both sides, tried flipping the shock around but it is the same. Maybe when it is on ground it would clear?, compared to being jacked up? I though these would be no problem, do the rear cobra disc change track width compared to a GT? Also rubs the passenger side tail pipe a little bit, but I think it won't be an issue.

nope they will not fit with quad shocks, I removed mine completed and eliminated the wheel hop with a good set of upper and lower control arms. Invest in adjustable control arms and you'll be good

You need a good set of lower control arms first, then you can use the quad shocks as a paper weight.

get lower control arms and toss the quad shocks. I flipped mine and the 315s still rubbed the quad shock, just barely but enough to squeak during a turn. the tires also rubbed the passenger side tail pipe. I got lower control arms got Ryde of the quads and no rubbing. oh and I also bent the tail pipe just barely to clear abs its not noticeable at all.

Not all 315's are the same size. Nitto makes some of the more narrow ones kinda surperised you were having troulbe with them.

Dang that is close, but if I can cut the plastic boot off it might barely clear as it appears yours do. Have you noticed if you jack up the rear does the shock then hit the tire?

^^ Aren't nittos a couple inches shorter than other of the same size?
Prob they are narrower than the 315 bfg drag radials I had
