Today i raced a 1988 camaro RS with stock 350 carburator engine except headrs & Exhaust with TH-700r4 tranny

and i with my 96 gt stock only with exaust he was little bit front of me

i was impresd is there something wrong with my gt?

concidering he has 69 cubes on you and most likely more HP/Tq, you did good,a set of gears would put you in front of him!

I think you meant 305 unless he had his motor swapped.

nothings wrong w/your car..you just need a forged dohc twin turbo set up

and dont forget gears

I DUNNO what that car really has in it LT1? that's oldschool i know those were in 93+ i didn't know they went back to 88 an npi stang v. lt1 seacow camaro can be a good race

no it was have 350 engine ot LT1
but what i am saying the 350 beat me i was thought i can beat an LT1 and this 350 well be easy

i out ran a old rs or i roc one had the ls1 6 speed in it beat him by 3 or 4 cars from a dig from a roll he got me by 1 because couldnt get it in third.......mines got pi cams and intake and pulleys and 3 73s but he said he had intake and cam in it dont member if he said heads or not...wasnt to impressive

yah dont fret it man. my first race with my car was an 01 z28 and i thought id get him cuz i have a 5 speed and exhaust and intake while he just had an auto. boy was i wrong lol

sounds about right... remember that your only rated at 215 crank hp.... sounds like you did prety well... i would have expected about that.

not bad, i have beat a couple lt1's w/ my pretty much stock 96 gt. however, both had 150,xxx+ miles on them and were run to shit

i beat a 97 formula auto with a slp intake thing when mine was completely stock. I'm not good with distances but it was from a stop and if i had to guess it was 2 cars, plenty of room for me to get over in front of him :dunno:

it was an ex-friends, he was so embarrased that he lost he sold it to get away from the ridicule. which we actually give him more shit now cause of it lol
