2nd would be 5.0 with o/r h and chamber mufflers, flows, mac and hooker.

I've never known cats to help out with sound

So changing the topic, which engine is better? The 4.6 or 5.0?

I like the way all mustangs sound to be honest, but the 5.0 does have a deeper meaner more angry sound where as the 4.6 has a
lighter more crisp tone, but they both sound good as feck with the right exhaust set up. :boink:

Lol damn, this thread with some effort could now become 20+ pages.

Once again, theyre both great motors to build on and they both can make SERIOUS power.

One thing that the 5.0 has in advantage though is that the aftermarket parts compared to the 4.6 are alot cheaper to buy.

Neither engine is the best, its really a matter of preference.

yeah 5.0 parts are way freaking cheaper than 4.6 parts.. i think it depends on your use and your preference though.. if you want a race car, a 5.0 might be the better way because its cheaper. i guess if money isn't an issue, its your choice lol..

Just a side note, the first video of Mustang Magic's Terminator cancels itself out, because, while it is a moular engine, that car was equipped with a five litre stroker motor, so it's a 5.0 modular, which is the best of both worlds in my book.

You guys can argue 4.6 or5.0 all day long, BUT nothing beats the sound of a 1966 Shelby Cobra with a 427. Those things are just mean. Those side pipes ROCK MY WORLD! You have not lived until you have been in a Shelby Cobra with a 427 driving through a tunnel. Nothing compares.

im not a big fan of a o/r pipe on a 4.6 way too raspy, the cats calm it down just enough.
