I tried putting LEDs in my tail lights, with just 2 of the bulbs replaced with LEDs my flasher went crazy and they wouldn't sequence at all, just a loud screaming sound. My guess is you'll have to add resistors or an LED flasher.
Yeah, wire in those small load resistors or file down the internal "L" shaped load line. V-LED.com sells them & others.

I also just remembered from years ago that the LED bulbs had to be pluged in a certain way to operate correctly. If they act retarted, then unplug, spin bulb around and plug in that way.
Did you get your sequential turn signal relay yet? autotrix.com has them and AM sells a Raxiom version. Got mine from autotrix a while ago. Those are the only two places I know of to get one to control the slower flash rate while turn signal is on. Either way, if LED's are used, then the load resistors are needed.
