Hey guys,
I resently inherited a complete 460 out of a 1969 E750 dump truck and have been keeping my eye out for a rolling chassis. I was hoping for a 79-83 fox just to get over the emissions hump but most of them that I have found have either been high dollar rolling chassis's or complete garbage. After pondering this for a few days I have just about made up my mind on a 94/95 SN95 with a V6 to begin my ground work. These things can be had for dirt and the SN95 will always be my favorite body style. The motor will be carbed, but I uncertain as to wether or not I will stroke it. It will push in the area of 500-600 HP depending on the H/C/I combo and bore/stroke I go with.
1) Has anyone here done this conversion?
2) Will the big block fit directly in with just a meer engine mount swap similar to the fox conversion?
3) Will the valve covers leave enough clearance for the master cylinder after the heads have been fitted with roller rockers, I know the foxes have this problem and most go to manual brakes to ale this.
4) Are the rear ends in the V6's any smaller than the ones in the GT's?
5) Is the K member the same in the V6's as it is in the GT's?
I know I will have many more questions as the weeks go by due to the fact that I haven't even settled on the chassis as of yet but any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
