Which would you prefer to have, a 5.0, 4.6, or an LS1?
Take in account to stock power, power with mods, price for repairs/modifications, maintainance, how hard it is to work on, etc...
Just curious to everyones opinions :)

4.6 because everyone suspects them to be slow, and i like having something a little different. (theres like 1 other 96-98 gt) around my town its awesome.

Why is there an LS1 option in with Mustang engines? Why does everyone insist on comparing them? LS1's are highly overrated, they have shitty rod bolts and they "God-like" cylinder heads are only held down with 4 bolts compared to 11-13 on the Modular. I guess maybe it's because Chevy is SO damn smart.

4.6, 5.0; doesn't matter to me.

Srsly an LS1. I remember they dynoed one with just an CAI and some other simple boltons and it dynoed 415ish HP to the flywheel

Man those things are everywhere here. I can walk outside and see one right now haha. The 94-95 mustangs are super rare around here though.

there are only v6 mustangs around here. I've only seen like 2 other gt's and a couple cobra's, mostly in the newedge tho.

and why is there an ls1 option... :nonono: it should be the ls2.

i'd take the 4.6 just cause IMO it's easier to work on.

thats crazy. There are a few very clean 5.0 sn95's around here but for the majority they are all sixxers. A LOT of very fast foxbodies and everyother car under the sun but for some reason not a lot of sn95's.

You should just tell people you have a limited edition. They might believe it since Ford has like 500 different limited edition Mustangs now haha.

You're not serious right? Chevy is So damn smart... they've stuck with the same platform for a long time now, and have built and made it better... the downside to the Chevy's, is the 10 bolt rearend.... other than that.. HA! I love my Mustang, I've ALWAYS loved the '95 GT's, and i've always wanted one, BUT if somebody walked up to me right now, and said... "I'll trade you my Black '98-'02 Trans Am WS6 straight up, for your Mustang" the Mustang would be gone quicker than you can swap keys with each other... I think the LS based engines are far superior to the Mustangs be it 4.6 or 5.0, in that yeah, the aftermarket parts may cost a little more, but they also make more HP from the factory than our Mustangs... a H/C/I on a Camaro will blow away most modified mustangs(depending on the mods)

As far as Ford engines go, i'm all for the 5.0, as far as other car company's, i'd take the LS1, LS2, or the LSX engine...

ls1, you put basic boltons on an ls1 like headers, exhaust, lid and a tune and you are close to 400hp

4.6, I always pull for the underdog, and as far as modification the 4.6 is probably the hardest/most expensive to get power from

why spend the money on the intake and exhaust than? just go pi swap and run with him all day long.

cause i can't afford a pi swap. it's like 1,000 for all that stuff. I'm thinking about doing it still, but the nova is gonna be the beastly car, whereas the mustang is the DD :/
