I work at a Mitsubishi Dealership...

weve got 5 evos..therye all 5 speeds.

The MR is a 6 speed AUTO and they havent come in yet

The GSR is a 5 speed.

the last model evo had more balls than this model stock.

WOW thats impressive! Did you guys watch the video of the dyno pulls? They gained 44hp with an intake and boost controller...thats just awesome...

U/L ICP, boost controller, CAI, downpipe, testpipe, catback = 90 more horsepower, putting the car at 330whp, DAMN

I wouldne be satisfied with that car stock anyway...the thing is basically a street legal race car...

for 42-45k i would expect to be able to pull power out of the things like no other.

Nice gains, turbo cars are so much easier to pull HP out of. I remember one of my buddies in college had a beat ass old 89 Mazda MX6 GT (Turbo) that he did just a few small things to and that thing was really quick for only having like $1k in it.

I have to say though, I hate the way both the new Evo's and STi's look. I cried a little when I saw the new STi, as STi's have been one of my favorite cars for a long time. I am actually going to buy a new DD this summer since I got a promotion, and was pretty much set on buying a brand new STi until I saw that they beat the F*** out of them with the ugly stick for '09. They basically look like a bastard child from an orgy with a Prius and every minivan ever created.

haha +1 they hung it from the ugly tree and beat the fuck out of it with an ugly stick then they put it on a fire full of ugly wood.

its ugly and sounds like crap. For the welding, its nice and all, but stainless is super easy to tig weld. especially when the welder is set cold like the welder that did those, had his welder set.

Looks like he didn't use any filler rod.

it looks like a very clean weld but it's not raised up at all or anything so like you said it doesn't look like he used any metal with it.

It looks like he did use filler, but personally i would have used a bit more plus welded them up hotter.
