im building a motor for the cobra.rather than the h/ci change.

basically i want it to make power to 6k-6.5krpm

.30 shortblock
cam-unknown yet
big ported gt40's with 1.94/1.6's
stock cobra 1.7 rockers
intake unknown

im thinking about the trackheat intake but i need opinions on cams that work.
im trying to get this car down around 12.5 et on street tires.
will also be running 4:10's

i hear the stock cobra cam is junk
what cam do you prefer for a settup like this?

Like above....if you can afford a custom cam...do it.

Ed Curtis @ Flowtech Induction (former NMRA champ) is awesome...

Jay Allen @ camshaft innovatons is excellent also

If the $300 for a custom is too steep...

The Crane Powermax 2031 (with 1.7's) was designed for those heads, the TFS Stage 1 (1.6's) cam is also very good.
