I’ve posted this everywhere and cannot find a resolution as many don’t know or have sold their cars they fixed and can’t remember how they fixed it. The convertible top side rails are sagging at the two joints on the drivers side and I can’t figure out how to adjust it. Is it with the roof unlocked, locked, up, or what? This balance link adjuster everyone keeps posting I can’t find it on my car. Passenger side is perfect but the drivers side needs the sag adjusted out. Any tips, tricks on how to do it and what to do? Would be nice to find a 94-95 convertible top owner who’s had this problem and fixed it.

I couldn't find it either ended up taking it to a local shop that specializes in auto-trim and convertible tops, and they confirmed it is there. Top needs to be up and latches locked to adjust. Rear seat and rear speaker panel need to be removed to access. Someone provided me this link to adjust, but it didn't help me - maybe it will help you: http://www.fordsunlimited.com/fords_convertible.html

So it needs to be up with the latches locked? Down is up or up is down I just can’t figure out where that part would be.I’ve looked all along that rail and never seen it the adjuster but and screw in the middle of that bend is the only adjustment I’ve seen.

It’s not there on a 94. I took the whole car apart all the way down to the back apron and that balance link adjuster, and the area where it shows the other portion in the well that can be adjusted isn’t on these cars. Not sure if that’s for a newer or older mustang but sent it to a body shop guy I know and it’s not on this year model. Maybe a newer or older model I mean who knows the link doesn’t really say.

It didn’t help me cause that one that you sent me is the one everyone else has been circulating and it’s not for 94-95 mustang convertibles. Not sure if it’s the newer one or if it’s the pre 94 Foxbody cars but 94-95 I found out it’s not the car that has it. I got quoted $1300 for a new top, adjustment, labor, and for the one with defrost.

Thanks for sharing the link. I have already changed mine ~7 months ago, and I went in blind - like deliberately getting lost driving around in a new city.

I got it done in three days.

This coulda helped...
