okay so ive been driving the car around town just cruising for bout 45+ minutes without a problem. so i stop to get something from sonic, so as im leaving i start to take off and it wont, it feels like im in third and try to take off with just the clutch, and i hear it idling really rough then it stalls, i turn the key and it screeches loud, a couple more trys and its on, i stop waiting to pull out and car stalls again and this time it wont turn on, after 2 minutes of blocking the exit it finally starts i make it another 25 feet before it stalls another time and same damn thing again, i get home finally(thank god i live close by) and open the hood, rev the car and all i hear are pops and the rough idle, my moms bf takes a look at doesnt know whats wrong but he mentions something like he can hear air going into somewhere but cant find it! im not that educated with cars so i dont know whats wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated? please (95 mustang gt, 81,xxx miles, small cam i think its a e303, new alternator, battery, plugs and wires, if that helps any bit)

Tell us a bit more about the car. Do you have any aftermarket induction parts? If so, make sure all the clamps/junctions are firmly connected to the mass air meter and throttle body. Any unmetered are will screw with the ECU and cause it to basically "lose its mind". (My wife's '05 GT did this last night. The CAI somehow disconnected itself from the throttle body and wouldn't run. Lucky she was close by, just like your scenario.) If that checks out, check all the vacuum lines for deterioration (they do disintegrate over time) and ensure the are connected. Try that first, it's simple and doesn't cost much to replace vacuum lines.

He can hear air leaking? that is a red flag...go over everything closely & listen...Any codes yet? that will help point you in the right direction.

Unhook the vacuum line from the brake booster and hold your thumb over the end of the hose then start the car. If it still runs rough, it's something else but if it runs fine it's the brake booster.

take the plug wire off your coil, and look to at the end out the coil, and the plug to see if anything looks burnt. If your cars been running rich it could have over worked youtr coil and burnt it up...

What?? Care to explain how a rich AFR will burn up a coil? Foul plugs I can see. Coil output is what it is.
