96 Cobra speedometer and foglight's not working!

okay so yesterday everything worked fine on the car! today I decided to take an extra oem foglight switch that the last owner had wired in to light up the hood vent's on the car :dontknow: i took all the wiring off! and I decided to cut the additional switch and cap the 2 wires that powered the lights... The 2 wires were light purple, my question is should I bridge these two wires together because now all of a sudden my foglights wont power on and my speedometer doesnt work! everything else in the cluster works just not the speedometer or the odometer :BangHead: are the speedometer and the foglights on the same link! it about midnight and it was too dark to check tonight, but im hoping i popped a fuse and they are on the same link! or that those 2 wires need to be connected!


any input would help!!!

Okay I got home this morning and took my center console out! and realize I didn't plug the center console harness back in! plugged it in foglight's came right on :laughing4: I immediatelly took the car for a ride and the speedometer was as good as new! I guess when I want to save miles on my car I will unplug the center console harness and save some miles :dontknow: :wink:
