now we have 300 HP V6 modular mustangs

the new V6's use a Duratec V6, its not in the Modular family

duratec isnt modular? hm. learn something new everyday.

thanks for the correction ;-)

speaking of V6 muscle cars. what are your plans atlantic blue?

all Overhead cam engines arent "Modulars"

Modular is just the eninge family for 4.6/5.4 engines

Duratecs is the engine family for Ford's DOHC V6's

and my current plan is to save up as much cash as possible right now.

Not all is lost man, if you truly care about your ride, you make that modular shock people. Right combo of cams, heads, and bolt ons, you can have 3xx street warrior N/A, take some cash to get there, but we still have hope!

Hell I've seen 260 rwhp PI swapped 4.6's with bolt-ons pulling the front wheels with the right suspension/tires. Not super high but there was light under the tires.

That couldnt be truer. All I will say about my car is wait and watch. Once its done this car will shock the piss out of people at what a 2v can do!! (same for 4v's they jsut have more adjustability with cams)

lol you guys crack me up.
i gotta work on my friends 98 4.6 this week and i dont know the first thing about them. all i know is its an auto its slow as crap and runs like a chicken with its head cut off. plus i think its the worst looking sn95 i've ever seen. one side skirt bondo'd onto the body the other one is falling off. hood wont latch blah blah blah.

5.0 pushrod vs 96-98 is close but for example, My car bone stock was running 14.6-14.8@93-95, and my other friend with his 1996 gt non pi with intake and exaust on same day was running 15.1-15.5@87-92, his best time was a 15.1@92,which was still slower then my slowest time in my stock 5.0.and his wasnt stock he had bolt ons intake/exaust and still slower then my stock 5.0 and he is a very good driver.

Can't be that good a driver, my 96 auto vert ran 15.1 stock when it was new...the 5sp cps were in the 14.5-7 range and we are at similar elevations.

The 96 GT onwards just seems more responsive to me when accelerating, the 94/95 GT's i've driven just don't have that much go in them
