Hey Everyone, new to the forum and the mustang scene. Have a bunch of experience with engine swaps in Japanese and German cars and my next project is a 2002 GT convertible roller. I ended up getting a running/driving 1997 cobra (120K miles) to swap in. I did do a search but I'm getting a little confused as I feel like things may have changed.
- Is the B-head cobra swap basically the same swap as the mark viii (so no issue using my 2002 ECU and wiring harness)
- From what I understand there is an issue with swapping the 97' cobra transmission as it uses a manual speedo cable and the 2002 is not
- given the higher miles of the cobra engine, while I have it out, what preventative maintenance should I do (assuming a rebuild is not in order)
