98 F-150 quick question

would an automatic F-150 4.6l 2wd truck use the same auto tranny that came out of my 96 GT? thanks

I dunno, good question!!! I think they are all AOD-E, but they have different mount points, I think. I'm no expert, but someone with the know-how will come along soon, hopefully. did you try googlesearch?

Does your GT have the AODE?? I thought they switched to the 4r70 for that year cause the AODE had so many problems. What happened to the tranny in the truck ???
