99-04 T5 help

From what I have found the only difference between the 99-04 v6 T5 and the 94-95 V8 T5 is that the 99-04 have electric speedo's. What would need to be changed to put a 99-04 T5 in the a 94-95? I only ask because I seem to be able to find the 99-04 V6 T5 for less than half the price with half the miles at the J/Y around here. Oh one more question is the 99-04V6 gear ratio as the 94-95V8, I've found differing opinions. Thanks.

depends on the tag on the trans.

not sure about the electric speedo and mechanical speedo difference. might have to change the tailsaft assembly? or plug it and dont run a speedo?
