A Few questions about Injectors/MAF options

I've bought a little something to add some power to my 97 GT, so I'm needing to step up to bigger injectors and a MAF. I'm going to be needing 42lb injectors. I've been reading up a lot, and I'm getting mixed answers on some things. The injectors are the same from a 5.0 to a 4.6 correct? Some people are saying 4.6 is EV2 and others say it's EV1. I always thought they were both EV1.

And for a MAF, wouldn't a lightning MAF be a straight plug and play for my car without having to get it calibrated for 42lb injectors?

Been researching a lot about this and yes as long as the maf is calibrated to the injectors you should be fine. If not the tuner can calibrate. They have a lightning setup for sale on eBay for 400ish.

Same injectors for 5.0 and our 4.6s. You can't just pop a set of 42s on with a LMAF and be good to go. On the OBD2 cars 96+ The adjustments also need to be done in the tune.

Bob hit that on the head.

I put a SCT MAF and siemens injectors on mine and it "ran" but i did not consider it "safe to drive" -- i just let it idle to oil the engine.

once i got it to the tuner they polished it up.

Ok, thanks for the help. I'd just be driving the car 15 miles to my tuner without having the MAF calibrated, so I'll just keep the RPM's low and stay out of boost and it should be fine.
