Well, I was able to get a 2 day span to do some minor work on my car before I have to get it into storage (brother's car is at body shop getting hail damage fixed). Anyways, I'm going to install some of the simple things (or so I thought) before taking it to work to use a hoist to cut off the old exhaust/put the new rear springs in. I'm working on installing the line lock kit (PITA, huge one) which has involved lots of swearing already, no room to work with on a 4v! 2nd, I'm finishing up my stereo install and I'm in the process of running the power wires for the amp/subwoofer as well, trying to make it as "clean" as possible. Finally, I'm installing my cut stock springs (before I get the "OH NOEZ CUT SPRINGS?!?1/1/!!!11!" guys, read the SVTperformance thread on cutting linear rate springs). I swapped the H&R race springs out already(they are the what was installed in these pics) for the 1/2 coil cut stock springs and it sits a little higher since these race springs are a mild drop from factory. So I have to get my cut off wheel from work tomorrow to take it to a full coil :). Also, I tinted the taillights a few weekends ago, so that's why I have a pic of that in there as well, will include more pics tomorrow after I'm done swearing!

cant wait to see it ,I have ford c springs with 3/4 coil cut in the front and dead coil + 1/4 in the back and my car rides exactly the same as it did before
its just lower. If you want a little more take out the iso's and wrap the springs with electrical tape.
It took me a few times to get mine where I wanted it so many that I took both front springs out and put the iso's back in in under 30 mins.
Good luck I cant wait to see it

Haha I had the front springs in/out in about 30 mins, so I'll see. I'll see how it sits after I cut another 1/2 off, if I want a little lower, isos might come out, I have to see lol.

I will be cutting my stock springs a full coil. I made a thread on svtp in the mach1 section that has a few pics of cars with cut springs. They get pretty low.

^^I'm going to stalk that out. 1/2 coil literally did NOTHING to ride height. I have my stereo wiring in, just have to put in the amp/subwoofer, working on wiring the line lock, still swearing at that lol. I'll have new pics up by the days end though, I hope it drops it some...

when cutting rear springs you take the coil out of the top right? i need to do something about these stiff as hell springs i have now, so i plan on cutting a coil out of the stockers and putting them back in.

I'm not doing the rear, I'm going for a rake lol. Just make sure the springs are linear and not progressive rate! There is a great thread at SVTP about cutting springs, It's what I'm following to do this!

I had the pro kit on my V6 and cut stock springs on my cobra, and my cobra rode wayyyyy better than the V6 ever did.

Here are the pics, drop doesn't look like much but it is lol. I have undersized tires (almost an inch in diameter shorter than they should be) so it seems big, but I rolled my 275/35s from the rear to the front, 2 finger gap which is what I wanted! All isos in, and the line lock is in and works, love it! My arm looks like I fought with a cat though. Springs will settle a little and I'm getting new tires soon to get the sizing proper, current fronts are 255/35.

cut the bottom of the front and the top of the rear springs.

Make sure the springs are clocked in the right position. when i first put mine in I didn't notice a difference , but when I pulled them back out
and cleaned all the dirt out I saw how they were supposed to go in I put them back in and it dropped 2inches just like that but i am a dumb ass some times and
get ahead of myself .

lol they are in right, these tires are 25" tall vs. 26" which they should be, so there is an inch missing. I can't fit my jack under the car anymore so now I have to work on it on the hoists at work :/. I never put my stab links back in yet, I wash rushed to get everything finished, but I will take the springs out again and double check, it takes like 5 mins.

EDIT: @mygreen. It's really easy, jack up car, take off wheels, put jack underneath spring perch, unbolt strut, unbolt stab end links, lower jack slowly, pry spring out. I have done this numerous times now so I'm getting good at it.

no need for the calipers to come off? that might have been my problem.
Haha no I took my calipers off.
Its just I took the springs out like 3 times in one night to get it to sit just right and the last time seriously took less than 30 mins .
now when I take everything loose my springs just fall out with no pressure .
