Hey guys, I need a little help here. I still have the airbag light flashing from before. I did see on one of the other forums that this could be caused by a blown airbag fuse. Well, they were right there is a blown fuse, #4 10 amp for the airbag system. I tried replacing the fuse twice, but both times the fuse just blew right away. Has anyone experienced this symptom? I know the module or the clock spring could be the culprit, but I don't want to buy either one if they are not the cause. I have also read that the error indicates a low voltage to the airbag monitoring system. Is this just as simple as replacing the battery and it will go away? I have not replaced the battery in a few years and I do not drive the car that often, so it could have a bad battery.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There is obviously a short somewhere if you keep blowing fuses. DO NOT test that circuit yourself cause you could set off the airbag. I would just take it in to a Ford mechanic.

Not really what I wanted to hear :BangHead:. I hate letting somebody else work on my cars, especially a dealer because the charge you up the A$$ and expect you to leave it with them while they work on it. I hate that. Damn computer controlled crap, I should just stick with my classic, it does not have all that sh__ to worry about.

any other suggestions?

Success, I have found the problem  The fuse was blown in the # 4 slot of the fuse panel under the dash, which I had already knew and had stated before. I don't know why it would cause this problem, but I had a loose battery ground cable. After I replaced the fuse and made sure the cables were tight, I was able to clear the code with the help of the instructions from one of the posts here, the airbag light is gone now.

Thank you all for your knowledge. :headbang:
