Caulking is a good idea. I just did primer and rubberized undercoating. Might have to try that.

Guess I'd have to have them in front of me to see where you're talking about. Are there little holes in the ends or something?

Yes. Since you're only going to stitch weld them on there will be gaps between the subframe and the connector where water could potentially get in to.

If you know how to weld you can make your own cheaper then retail. Its just tubed steel.

My back half car started as 2x1" 14g rectangle tubing.. Works great.. Weld up your torque boxes,8 pt chromoly cage, control arm mounts with supported 3/16" plate, driveshaft loop.. 900 horsepower,good stiff wheelie car!!
