Well here we are. Finally.. My car was down for about 2 weeks due to a throwout bearing the decided to literally implode on the intput sleeve. It trashed everything! So here I am ready for re-assembly. What I have to install is -Centerforce flywheel (was already installed but had re-surfaced) - Brand new Ford racing Aluminum drive shaft -Spec Stage 2+ clutch kit. -Brand new OEM clutch fork.

And to top it all off my new hood Saleen hood came in!

Surprisingly dropping the transmission was cake, THE hardest part was getting the seized up throwout bearing off of the input sleeve.
I also took the H pipe that was really rusted and used this product from rustoleum that takes surface rust and turns it into a paintable surface. It worked AMAZING. Then I painted it with flat black 2000* paint for further protection.

SO here are some pics.

The goods!

Re: Almost done!

Wow, looks great, man! That rustoleum stuff is awesome. I used it on my first car, an '84 Datsun 280zx, to help keep some body rust from spreading, and it worked great after sanding and cleaning the metal.
Will that Saleen hood be painted like the bumper . . . what is that, Mystichrome?

Dude that bearing is effed. When we changed the clutch in my brothers '01 gt, it was mangled in peices too. Mine wasn't too bad thankfully when I replaced it. A little jealous of you're hood too! Going to look awesome. Don't even mind the projectors to much..

Re: Almost done!

The car is back on the road! It shifts soooo much smoother than before, and no clutch chatter either!
But it sucks because the break in period! I just want to let it loose!

On another note, car goes to paint on Wednesday and the hood is going to be all black. I may do something with the extractor vents down the road.

Im not sure if its a typo or what, but you said 50oz. balance flywheel? I thought that was a no-no with a 347.

hm. I really couldn't tell you if it was a 50oz. But it definitely wasn't aluminum. The guy that had the car before me had it installed. But it definitely is a center-force flywheel.
