So thought i would take a look in the trunk when i got my new car home this after noon just to make sure everything was good back there. It was not! Where the car had sit in storage a mouse or mice had destroyed the trunk liner that was back there to the point that i had to rip every bit of it out and burn it. The was mouse shit every where and it took me about 3 hours with lysol and a vacum to get it all out of the trunk. Probably one of the worst things i've ever had to do to a car. Now will have to get a whole new trunk liner. I think i will have no problem getting one from 50resto? oh well just thought i would share this great night with everyone

yeah when i pulled the board up that covers the spare tire, i found their nest right there. It was made out of the carpeting on the bottom of the board. Some nasty stuff. I pulled the rest of the lining out and searched everywhere else as much as i could but that was all i could find right there on top and bottom of the spare tire. It was ridiculous

Yeah that was my biggest concern but i looked over everything and most looks in tact. Luckily i dont think they cot up to my covertible top motor or the amps for the stereo but am a little concerned about what i cant see as well. I thought i was gonna puke when i saw the devastation.

don't buy a new liner! Take a trip to lowes, buy a sheet of masonite or "peg board". You can cut it to shap. That will be your board to go over the spare. Then go over to wal-mart and they sell universal 4x8 rolls of "automotive carpet. Get some black and a can of 3m spray adhesive. The carpet is like 8 bucks and the glue is about the same. cut the carpet to size with siscors and call it a day! I put my battery in the spare tire well and made my owm trunk board and mat this way and it looks trick

Sounds good i never thought of that. It would save a lot of money too. Just as long as i have something to cover the spare tire and jack i dont really care what it looks like.

Leave it to a Marine to adapt and overcome a challenge. Great Idea. :thumb:

one car i bought was from a navy guy, it had freakin war plans and battle strategys all drawn in map books, it was crazy. Another had about 100 love letters from some girl and her boyfriend who owned the car, and the 95 had exhaust tubing, a filet knife, a bunch of broken glass, and needles :hammer:

Nothing spectacular in Goldmember's trunk, but I have a small water leak when it rains that I think is coming from the bottom right corner of the windshield. Found a ton of golf tees when I last cleaned it.

Found the wiring for the Street Glow strobes my car evidently has. Ripped it up and threw it out.

Didn't you get the car from a dealer?
yeah but he just likes to deal in mustangs and has another job until 3 in the after noon when he goes back to the shop to work on his cars. He said he drove this particular car all last summer and then put it in storage over the winter. I guess they got in it while it was sittin
