Another lower control arm thread.

I was just looking at upgrading my rear lca and wanted to see what every one was running on their car.

Now my car is a daily driver and I do once in a while go to the auto cross and track use my car. It is my street car as well.

I was looking at the sve control arm kit only because its on sale right now for super cheap. However I did see the J&M adjustable lower control arm which I like the ablity to adjust the car up and down in the rear. But it is a little spendy.

So let me know in your thoughts. I do also drive in mpls pot hole central lol

I have the non adjustable J&M's and they are nice. Would definitely recommend them.

I have J&M uppers that I will be installing Friday with the new rear end. If I like them I'm gonna get their adjustable lowers to match it up

I have Maximum Motorsport Lowers. I had them for awhile now. No complaints w/ them.

I'm ordering the adjustable J&M's next week.
I did a lot of research on them and they seem to have mostly positive reviews.

I would stray away from the SVE ones. They're better than stock, but if you autocross id recommend something of a better quality.
You can find control arms for dirt cheap off the corral.

Anything is better than the stockers. Just keep the uppers stock, or at least stock bushings.

I run the standard J&M lowers without the spherical bushings. Haven't torn them up yet, even with R-compound tires. My buddy with a 99 got the spherical bushing units, tore up the bushings as soon as he put the R-comps on.

That said, I'd rather get a used set of MM, J&M, or Griggs than a new set of cheapies.

MM Adjustables here..they made a WORLD of difference! I can power around & out of curves with no wheel hopping

I never realized just how many people run J&M parts. I bought the weight jacker lowers for my car. Ive had them for maybe 2 years now? I took off the Team Z lowers that F8L has now.

J&M makes good stuff. A lot of the Camaro guys use their suspension pieces as well. Well built stuff, I understand the people that started it were/are ex-MM folks. ??

What drew me to their product is the 3 piece bushing design. It really seems to be the best piece out there as far as overall strength, reduction of bind, and lowering NVH. I absolutely loved the way the car felt with them and my baseline street launch uppers. Kinda wish I could get a set of those to replace the poly bushings in the uppers.

Makes sense that J&M has ex MM employees. Their control arms look a decent bit alike. I had a hell of a time getting those three piece bushings in them though. LOL

you can raise/lower the rear ride height. comes in handy for fitting large slicks or getting your stance just right.

Okay, so if I just have lowering springs, and the car isn't slammed or anything, would I need adjustable LCAs?

Technically yes, that's what i'm going to do.

However, you could just buy new lowering springs for the rear which would end up costing less.

Yeah I've got the spherical bushing J&Ms on the way. Some day when I get the turd running again I'll put them in to complete my rear end
