Welcome to the site.

Your car reminds me of mine when I first bought it. Damn does that bring back good memories.

I hear ya. I'm not going to do much on this one either. I would love to run 315's or so on the back but with the stock 8" wheel that's a no go. The 275's are wide enough for now. The existing cat back mufflers are about shot so I'll be looking to replace those soon. I have something in the steering that's not right so I have to diagnose and replace that...also going to lower the car and replace shocks. Otherwise a lot of things are done already...windows tinted things like that. I don't think I'll even replace the stock audio system. At 25 I would have ripped it out and added something after market, but at almost 45 I think I'll keep the stock setup, LOL!

Not sure what the value of the car is but I picked it up for $6K, which I think is fair. I looked at an '02 almost identical with 67K miles and bullitt wheels for $10K...I think I'm happy with what I got :)

You got a good deal, with the mileage it's worth about $8k
I had flows on my car but ripped those out and running just straight pipe and cats right now and it sounds amazing. Im not even considering exhaust now lol

That's good to know. Overall condition of the car is excellent. The only obvious "wear" is a few buttons on the radio. Nice to know I got a good car and a good deal, LOL!

I'm tempted to run with out mufflers, but not sure I could get it passed the "vehicle safety inspection" we have to do yearly in MO.

we have the same inspection here, visual, emissions, and safety. Some places won't even look under it, just find some family owned small inspection place

I used to have a shop like that. They would pass almost anything so long as it wasn't truly unsafe. I have MIG welder in my garage, so I think I'll probably just throw some new mufflers on it...just have to decide what I want. Ideally I'd like something that sounds good at idle but not too loud and isn't too noisy at highway cruise, but has some impressive sound when I get on it...oh and not too pricey, LOL!

very clean...NICE!!!!

Thanks! It was the cleanest one I could fine...well except the one I found for $10K, LOL!

Thats why I always like the 98 wheels vs the 97's...because you dont have that gray insert...with the one's you got..Hell..I wouldn't change'em ..they are perfect..Maybe get them dipped in Chrome...Maybe.. Thats it...

I've often wondered about this, the '97 split spokes had the grey pocket and in '98 they got rid of that and just left 'em silver?

I've thought about chroming them. Not sure what the cost is to do so.

Or you could find a set of chrome split spokes, rare option and prolly hard to find. Looks awesome tho.
