im changing wheels, going w/ 17x9, 17x10.5's, i am looking at going w/ 275/40-17's up front, but will i have issues w/ rubbing? also i plan on getting 315/35-17's in the rear, will i need to remove the quad shocks or would i be able to get away with them?

how low is your car? I have 18x9 265s and I will rub on full turn although my front is lowered probably just over 2"

you will probably need to remove the quads on the rears, but they really dont do anything anyways so dont worry about it.

Huh, I have Pro-Kits on my car. I've got 275/40-17's on every corner. Mine never even gets close to rubbing. My buddy rented 1 of those fender roller things. I had mine done also, but just because it was paid for. I didn't technically need to.

you may have to roll your fender as low as you are.

Quadshock aint big deal tho.

I have my car dropped about 1 1/2"..and the 315 nittos do not rub. I actually have a pic of the space between the quad shock and the tire for reference. its close, but doesn't rub. No "rolling" needed either. Thats just my car however. g/l

315's arent that much bigger than the 275, HOWEVER, they are a necessity IMO for looks when you get a 10.5 rim. I have never seen a 275 on a 10.5 rim before, but judging by my 315 on there now, it wouldn't look right..here are some pics

315 on rim (notice how far the 315 extends from the wheel, then think about the 275, check the 315 to 275 comparison pic below

quad shock and 315 nitto clearance..

this pic has the 275 on the 17x9 and the 315 on the 17x10.5..think about that 275 on that 10.5

again...g/l post em when you get em

Great comparison. Good pics.

It technically is supposed to be 40mm wider but it all depends on the tire manufacturer.
