I'm looking at buying the entire front suspension from QA1... I talked to Artsperformance parts, and he can set me up with everything from CC plates, to k-member, and A-arms, and also the coilovers and struts for $1075 shipped... does anyone have any experience with the QA1 Kmember? the car will go to weekend cruiser, and not be driven daily... just wondering what everyone thought about the QA1 front suspension.

I know the K member is the only one my tuner uses and it goes for about 400 alone. With everything else your getting it sounds like a good deal to me.

Have not had any experience with QA1 stuff, but from what I've heard, it's mostly drag setup stuff.

I paid 275 for my kmember (no control arms) from Jeg's. Doesn't look strong enough for autocross/hard driving... Planning to test fit it with the motor, and then reinforce it accordingly. Will post pics if it'll help.

They K members suck. I have wrote many explanations of this. Poor quality. Welds look questionable. Where the rear control arm bolts go through you have to grind down the nut just to get the bolt to thread. They drill the hole too close to the tube from the factory. I would seriously look into a nice UPR set up. I have put a couple of those on different cars including an 04 Mach 1. Everything went right up without a problem. PA,AJE, and TeamZ make some nice ones as well. And yes they are built more for drag racing with some street driving. If you plan on doing auto cross or road racing look into the MM one due to the optional support they give.

cool, thanks for the heads up fella's... I'll looking into the other ones. I looked into the UPR already, just got a good price from Artsperformance on the QA1 stuff... as for the road racing and heavy driving...not so much. it's going to be more of a weekend cruiser, and dedicated drag strip car... once my wife gets her new SUV, i'm taking her current DD ('01 Honda civic) so the Mustang will go into "toy mode"

for weekends and drag racing you'll be set!

make sure they put anti sieze on the A-arm bolts to prevent future squeakage.

I just took mine out of the car and went with a UPR kit instead. I was not happy with the fitment and quality of the QA-1 kmember. If you are set on the QA-1, I will sell you mine cheap. I have maybe 10 miles on it.
