Alright
here's the deal.

I'm looking at a 2001 GT that is Zinc yellow, and i'm pretty much like everyone else when it comes to personal opinions on that color.
Although i don't hate it, i would realllllly like to have screaming over zinc. I was just wondering if anyone on here has painted their zinc car screaming, or knows someone that changed up their zinc paint to maybe a more true yellow (doesn't have to be screaming yellow)

I guess i'm really asking if it would stand out really bad if the car was shot on the outside only with screaming yellow. (not jammed out and whatnot.) i'm not looking to rig something up, but if it could be pulled off without being noticed then it would be awesome.

Any help, thoughts, opinions, or suggestions would be great! pics would be even better!
Thanks,
-Blake

Yellow is a TERRIBLE color. It is probably one of the most picky colors as to its primer. If its not shot with the correct colored primer (white/gray/black) it will look muddy or be off tint. This is super super common due to the fussiness of the color. With that said, you will need to primer the whole car the suggested primer color. If your going to spray a car, do it right and at least do the doors fender jambs and deck lid jambs. Backmask the eng compartment and spray.

Interesting.
I am not a paint expert or anything, actually i know very little about painting and color difficulty, so that info is appreciated.
And yeah after i posted up i was thinking how it wouldn't be much more to do i'm sure to just do jams, trunk, and possibly under hood.
Thanks man.

I don't blame you there, screamin' yellow looks infinitely better than that zinc garbage. Don't even know what Ford was thinking with that color.

The Zink Yellow was almost the same exact color of the Meadowlark Yellow they used back in the 60's. It was ugly then, it is ugly now.
