I know there’s going to be a lot of you shouldn’t cut springs. But I did research and after reading up I figured I’d try it out. I cut them and honestly I don’t plan on buying springs. The ride is a little stiffer but other then that everything else is positive. Handling, looks, etc. good. I’m going to go another in in the rear but it will work for now!!

man are you sure you had the right springs on there? Maybe I have had mine bagged too long but I can't remember ever seeing a sn up that high new or 20yrs old...

That's the same thoughts I had.

OP, I had cut springs on my 01 Cobra for about 10 years. I say if you go less than a coil you're good. It's when guys start pulling multiple coils the trouble starts.

I’m guessing they were the right springs. I can’t say for sure but I no the tire on there now are smaller then stock so that didn’t help that hefty gap between the tire and wheel well lol
