On wot at full boost my dip stick pops out about an inch and leaks oil out and onto the header making a cloud of smoke as i drive. This is blow by correct? Would running a oil catch can and oil cap breather help this?

I would check your PCV first. Make sure you're not boosting your bottom end.

Yea. There's a check valve in it, if you remove it, try blowing through it from the hose side, you should not be able to.

ok ill give it a try tomorrow. I gotta clean the power pipe filter as well bc the darn thing sits right next to the dip stick tube and got some oil in it. Im running pretty high boost (13 psi) taking it easy on it. This winter ill be saving up for an hci and freshening up the block with stronger internals.

Catch can.. Depending on your set up.
If you can get a non vented one.
You have to vent both valve covers and pcv on the back on the intake to the catch can the vent the catch can to the intake pipe right after the mass airflow sensor..
OR
Get a vented catch can run both valve covers and pcv to the catch can and plug the vacuim lines

Thanks! What do you think about this steeda kit? http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/ST-5553710/1979-04-Mustang-Oil-Seperator-Kit
And i would also run the oil cap breather.

That's not really a catch can.. I saw some were you could make this your self cheaper.. I would not run a breather with that one tho.. Are you SC or turbo?
You can use the separator just hook one end to the intake tube after the maf if you are you using a draw thru maf..
If you want to run a breather on the valve cover then get one like this.

But you might be able to smell the fumes..

The fresh air inlet (passenger valve cover hose) needs to be hooked before the s/c or turbo... But after the MAF.

You don't need vented catch cans. Rz, knock that shit off.

Ha i dint say he did but it's an Option..If he wants to run a breather..
Id would rather run it closed but some set ups don't allow it.
Just giving him options..

I have the same issue and figured i would post here, instead of making another thread on the same thing
Only difference is, I'm not on boost, all stock, but my dipstick gets pushed more then half way out
I checked the pvc valve and i cant blow threw it

I will when i get off work. Think im going to remove my upper intake and CAI and take pictures, re-run everything take more pics. Maybe that would help out people in the future. I know im sure as hell going to need guidance lol
Im guessing blow by comes from the Vacuum system?
