BRINGING BACK THE STANG!

Well its been almost a year that i have had the damn car parked and im getting tired of it just sitting there, i parked it after i rebuilt the motor, so the new motor probaly has like 30 miles on it well i have my little problems here and there and i was wondeirng if you all could give me some ideas on how to fix it.


Problem 1 :All the tranny oil leaked i put the car in drive and i have to rev like until 4K so it can move a bit ( car is auto)

Problem 2: The car has a voltage problem teh needle stays at O when im stoped at a light or something then when i get home the car doesnt wanna start back on after i turn it on (i just bought a new battery).

Problem 3. They put a aftermarket cam in and now the computer doesnt wanna read it it will idle like at 600 for a while then throw it self to 1000.


I would really apricate it if you all could help me find out the problems i really miss driving the car :TY:

well for problem 2 it sounds like your alternator is shot.
problem 3: you need to get the car tuned for the cam. the car is still tuned for your stock cam.

would it better to buy a new one with the same amps, or do i just rebuild it ? :crying:

Answer to problem 1 is to swap in a 5 speed. But if the trans worked beforehand whoever pulled it and put it back in might have jacked something up. A leak big enough for ALL your ATF to leak out should be pretty easy to trace...

torque converter may have lost some fluid, check that, and the alternator will go out, ive replaced mine 3 times in under 20k miles, wont charge at idle.i would also try and set the timing, just make sure you disconnect the spout right beside the air filter housing, see if that helps out.

Check the fluid level! Find the leak, fix it, and put some fluid in

yes if you top the fluid before, and then turn on the car you should see a pinkish redish fluid comming out. put the car on jacks or a lift if you have access to one.

Hey guys well i went to get the alternator checked and it came out good but the wiring to the alternator is kinda messed up , the battery teseted bad how ever so im going to get a battery, i put my frnieeds battery on but the car's voltage is still at O ??? :crying:
