Racing guys off of eBay. My first set the rubber weather stripping got messed up. These ones my chick broke the driver side with the shop vac

How do yours fit so nice? My weatherstripping is crap and they don't dit good.

Idk about that but that's how my last set were and the striping basically disappeared on one long road trip. 4hrs at 80mph we stopped for gas and it was barely hanging on lol

Did a little work today. Got the air pump hoses. cai, battery/tray, strut tower bar and hood off. Also bought a heater for the garage

Some more tear down. Anyone know if I can re use stoke valve covers with 1.6 rockers or do I need taller ones?

Hopefully after the first of the year I'll get to finish my HCI swap too. I'm doing about the same as you only with GT40P heads..

Caught up on two bolts on the bell housing, otherwise motor is free. Surprisingly on a 20 yr old car the only broken bolt was on the stb

Comp cams 1.6 rockers
Comp cams timing chain set
Arp head bolts
Arp intake bolts
Bbk header bolts

What are you guys using for water pumps? Would like to save money if I can without sacrafising quality or reliability

I run a stewart high volume waterpump. Not sure if it actually makes a difference over stock

I was gonna go with some form of o.e. replacement. I run a 180 t stat and 3 core radiator. But I won't be making a ton of power.

Recently picked up a new clutch (thanks Whippy) and a bbk fpr. Just need a day or two to build the motor now. Cant wait for spring
