I'm building a 306 and was wondering if I could use some used piston pins and rods and the original hydraulic lifters?

Lifters I would buy new . As far as the used stuff sure if you re ring it ? Are you planning on assembling this yourself ? Personally I'd have a machine shop balance everything first , this could be because my motor just let go lmfao

Thanks for the info. Yes I'm having my rotating assembly balanced using the original crankshaft, the crankshaft will first be polished. I'm balancing the used connecting rods myself. The original roller lifters seem seem to be in good shape, but I'm still going to take each one apart and clean them thoroughly. Basically I was planning on using the original Crankshaft, connecting rods lifters and push rods.
