Well you guys tell me if it's a good deal. 01 49k miles, has been wrecked but fixed by professionals and only used ford replacement parts. The car is spotless! New tires and brakes. $8700obo

Salvage title?

In my area a Bullitt with 49K would get you between $12-18k depending on the buyer. One with a salvage title would probably get @ 7-8k here so its on par I think.

Yes it was rebuilt title. Bags and everything has been replaced...I have had probably 13 vehicles with rebuilds, so I know what to look for when buying them. I think its funny how people freak out because of "all the hype" when it comes to rebuilt titles, some of my best vehicles have had rebuilt titles including my mustang that I have now.. Does it hurt the value? Yes sometimes....Does it hurt the performance? 95% of the time NO..Just have to know what to look for. ASKING price is 8700obo, so my guess it could be bought for less possibly around 7800...In good shape and clean title it books for almost 13000, in my book 5300 is a lot less. I am still seeing 01-04 gt's with that many miles selling for around 10k... I am just wanting something a little newer and less miles, and something all the accessories work on.

My car has a rebuilt title, I bought it for $9k a few years ago with similar mileage. Bullitts without a salvage title with that mileage were selling for around $14k at the time.

take their asking price and offer half, that's what it's worth with a salvage title.

A rebuilt title is not a salvage title.

Normally when an insurance company has declared a car as a total loss, it becomes a "salvage vehicle" and CANNOT be driven on the highways or have a valid license plate. It can be sold ("AS IS") to an automobile rebuilder to be used either for parts or to be restored ("rebuilt"). If restored, it must be inspected and ultimately a "rebuilt title" will be issued for the vehicle. A rebuilt vehicle with a rebuilt title CAN be driven on the highways. The guidelines for getting a rebuilt title vary by state.

A licensed garage or body shop and the DMV using the Certificate of Inspection for Rebuilt Vehicles must inspect these vehicles. The existing title must be surrendered to the DMV, which will issue a title branded ?rebuilt?.

My truck was incapable of being issued a rebuilt title, and honestly I could have done the repair work in a day. No frame damage.

So I think they are pretty picky on what is allowed to be rebuilt and not.

Keep in mind, my truck had a literally brand new motor in it with 25 miles on it. Wrecked the day I put it in. And they still totalled it out, so I bought it back for 10% and sold it to someone who needed the motor.

not in every state, in CA cars have either clean, salvage, or junk. Junk cant be registered again.
