What is a bump steering kit do and why do I need one?
Ford Racing makes a set also and they look identical to Steeda. The bumpsteer kit is a "have to" when installing the X-2 Balljoints. I installed the X2 balljoints to acquire the extra 1/2" drop with Ford Racing springs. I accomplished getting a 2" drop when all was said and done.X2 balljoints? Are those the steeda ones?
They are supposed to raise the hub or some crap, but people like me use them without the spacer to lower the front of the car more which basically negates their purpose. A few people on here me included have had problems with them wearing out very prematurely. I talked to Steeda about it and they didn't seem surprised at all to hear that they wore out after a thousand miles of use so who knows.
I have them and I'm hoping for the best. You don't really think that they sell them with expectations of failing in a few thousand miles do ya? Do your researching. Ford Racing springs may be the only set of lowering springs you can get away with installing without any other components needed for proper operation. The trade off is a very small drop and stance. (Without cutting them of course)That sounds like pretty bad. I guess I'm definitely never going to get them. I daily drive my car so wearing out after a few thousand miles would piss me off.
