didnt know where to put this, so sorry if this is the wrong place.

yesterday, i had a lil fender bender with a truck. no damage to his, but the mustang got quite a bit of damage. the hood bent up(stock for $500. best deal? was looking for nicer one, but guess not if its 500 for stock), and its jammed in a way i cant get the hood up. itll need a new hood latch too ($50), but thats good cuz id get th 98+ one, for the grill (which luckily wasnt on). the headlights are pretty crappy. ones there, but the other was obliterated. so i think im gonna get halos. but someone looked, and they were 200... true? my friends eclipse is only 80-100.. so i find that really stupid for an old car. but yeah. and i might need the black thing in the bumper that hold the lights there. about 75 i think i found it for. and the worst part, this tiny, accident, the stupid airbags came out, and was the only use of injury in this accident. the passenger had a cut on his hand, and some burns on his neck cuz of the stupid airbag. and we almost died of the smoke from the airbags. this car super exaggerated this crash. anyway, i found that for about 700 or something. something rediculous for EACH. i thoguht that was BS. so all that plus labor would put it around.... way more than the car is worth. i think i can do some of it. but definately not the airbags. im sure i could do the lights and the hood latch, not sure abotu that black bar, or the hood, but more hope for the hood.

anyway, i was wondering if there was anyway i could get this stuff at a reasonable price. cuz if i have to trash it, might have to get some kind of crappy fuel efficient, 4 door, family car. so does anybody knnow is its worth it??? and maybe if anyones close to austin texas and works on cars, maybe we can get some labor and a non ridiculous price too

If you are talking about the headlight panel you can get them new for less than $40 shipped on ebay!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-MUSTANG-94-98-HEADER-PANEL-95-96-97-MOUNTING-NEW-/190444594766?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year:1996|Model:Mustang&hash=item2c5761e64e#ht_2418wt_1165

You can also get a cobra repro for less than or $300ish shipped on ebay.

You can get headlights for $100: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-9...Q5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_6024wt_1165

I spent three months trying to get stuff on the CHEAP, and unless you find some smoking good deals on craigslist or here (very possible! Keep an eye out!) you can't beat those ebay prices!

Good luck with it!

wow, forgot to mention its a white car. awesome that it was a white hood. the lights might not work, with the color and all, but il look in his shop thing and seewhat else he has. they might work. was thinking of ablack and white thing anyway.

do you need airbags for inspection? cuz since they were the only cause of pain... maybe i can fly without them if its legal

You can pick some airbags up in the classified section where people part out their cars on here, but no you shouldn't depending on where you are. I have a passenger airbag delete bc the previous owner pulled it for weight, which you can also buy on ebay.

That hood might be primer but if you're short on cash it'll do you fine for now.

Check this thread to help you make a decision on headlights...I had to put a crystal white front clip on my car, and it looks good IMO with black headlights, but check the pics and see for yourself.
