I cant figure this one out. Ever since this morning whenever the A/C or Heater is on i get a burning smell through the vents. I already smelled the engine bay and under the car and it doesn't smell like anything is burning. Its the same smell you smell when a house is on fire or something. It defiantly not a plastic burning smell or exhaust... its pure fire smell. This morning i thought it was a fire near by while driving, but the smell followed me.

Anyone ran into something like this?
There is no actual smoke thru the vents by the way.
And doesn't smell like oil or coolant.
Only smells with the A/c or heater is on

^^ is that a normal sign?

Turned on the heat and it seemed to come back. It doesn't smell at idle, but about 1 minutes into driving it starts to smell bad. Doesn't happen @ low speeds.. only at speeds like 30+ mph

happens with both a/c and heat

No I haven't done what you said to do. But I have replaced the blower motor but the one in that car the motor was straight done didn't even spin.

I removed the blower just to take a peek at it. And yes it was a B**** to re-install. You need 4 hands to make it simple lol. 2 hands it was just a fight! Got some left over pieces that came out that i couldn't figure out how to get back on lol. But Either i broke something or it was already doing this. It only blows when turned on to the max high fan setting. Any other settings it doesn't work. From the googling i done that means the resistor is bad.

Just to be sure. The resistor is on the motor itself? So a new fan blower will include the new resistor? Or is the resistor somewhere else?

Thanks
