I pulled a couple of my injectors to find that the pintle caps are either busted or missing. Im worried they may have fallen into the intake. I need to know how important it is to get them out. Im going to try to suck them out with the shop vac before i install the injectors after i redo them. Im not even 100% sure if they are even in the intake, but i want to play it safe. I would rather not pull the lower unless you guys convince me to.

What do you think i should do?

thanks
jacob

i would say you would be just fine. If they went into the intake they have already been back out your exhaust.

Typically I would say that's a big no-no, but if you ran the motor just prior to disassembly I would say you're fine. I'd still be nervous though.

I didnt hear or see them bust when i pulled them. They just werent there. Ill stick the shop vac over the hole and see if it pulls anything out.

+1

They're plastic, and if the motor has been run - they're stuck in your cats somewhere now.
