Theres a local guy selling a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch with 5 passes on it. Questions is it was never really broken in on the street. Is it too late to make this a street clutch or do you think 5 passes will not affect it that much?

Yeah thats been nagging at the back of my mind too, but it's a good price and I have to pull my trans to replace the TOB anyway and I'm just being a cheap-ass, lol. They're decent clutches so I was just curious if theyd be ok.

My break in period on my clutch was a drive to the track and some passes . But yea I don't like messing with used clutches

Just make sure you check the pressure plate with a straight edge, and use a feeler gauge and see if you can slide them under the straight edge to see if the pressure plate has high or low spots, and look for any overwhelming heat marks.

If so, then stay away from it.

If the disk looks good, and the pressure plate checks out... I'd run it.

Wait Jesse is on here too? Madness!!! LoL

I bought my centerforce slightly used as well. Do as Jesse said and you'll be fine.

This is one of the pictures he sent me. I can't tell if the 4 o'clock position looks burnt or not.

It looks ok from the pic. My current clutch was bought used with little miles as well. Been working just fine.

I always get a little nervous on deals where guys used the part for a few miles then went with something else. Makes you think 'why are you selling it?'
