at 18 years old, on my birthday, I will be going to get a loan, to finish paying for the cobra. So basically day one of being a legal adult I will have debt, but one fine ass car :hammer: it wont be bad, 250 for 18 months worst case scenario, less months or money per if I come up with some more down payment :thumb: I can understand its a bad way to start off in some situations, but I live with my parents, and don't pay much but what I do myself with the car, gas, snackage, and video games, So i'm going to take care of this while I have the best advantage to. Now if I had to support myself fully, it t'would be a bad idea for sure. I just want the car that I will keep for a long time early on, make some memorys, have a good time, and so i can sit there 40 years from now, bald, fat, and hairy and be like.. "yep, back then that thing ran off of what we used to call gas.. heh heh heh.. good ol petrol :coolsmiley:"

i think some insurance companies assume special edition vehicles get driven less. the less its driven the less chance of an accident, in there eyes.

Lol, I financed my car at 16, still owed like 16k on it at 18.

That supah pimp sign on bonus from the Army at 20 paid it off. Hell, I'm 27 now and financed my Jeep, with 0 down. Debt isn't bad, debt you can't cover in a worse-case senario is though.

If you can afford it, it might be a good thing. As long as you make all your payments on time, it will help build your credit. And congrats again on the car.

Where you are planning on getting this loan from? Your parents?

A friend of ours is a dean for at a bank I use. I'm sure he'll help get me started. I'll be looking at 3500-2000 dolla loan so we'll see.

I'm curious as well. Being as it has less miles, is a year newer, but not like brand new, I think I MIGHT run into the same situation, it really depends though as what kind of insurance etc.

My insurense guy says special edition cars always cost more
the 03-04 cobra, the R32 VW, and the WRX STI are all very expensive
the R32 cost a ton and it only has 240hp heard some where it cost more than a new Z06 to insure,if thats ture its probably just because older guys are safer with the vettes and i think somthing like 1/2 of all R32s ever made have already been totaled.
Congrats on the car i am truly jealus, my dad almost bought me one instead of the 03 GT, he had the papers and everything then deided it was "too fast" (is that possible ha).
i would definatly do that if i could so go for it and protect that cobra with your life, i dont want to see the death of the cobra thread in month or two ....

I'm not doing credit cards, ever. So don't worry about that, i'm pretty straight up when it comes down to it. I have no intentions of getting a high interest rate one by any means. This will be an auto loan, for a shortish period of time, with a doable payment
