Before anyone says it... I DON'T like the way the S281 wing looks with a Saleen kit. Cobra and GT mustangs look great with them but I don't like the way it looks with the Saleen kit.

The S281 wing is going up for sale as soon as these two wings are painted.

Go ahead... Flame on!!! :thefinger:

BTW all my wings are original (Except for the black Kaenen that I HAD) Yes even the SR wing is an original with the diamond headed screws

I know most people don't like either of those wings, but I do and if I'm building a fake S351 I gotta do something to make it look a little bit real

Also, there's a very specific car I'm trying to replicate. It had the SR wing and when the car was sold my heart was broken (it was the mustang that started my love for mustangs/saleens) :crybaby2: so you can say i'm trying to sort of fill a void in my life with this car.

I personally love the wing and can't wait until my car is done :eek:ccasion14:

Thanks guys :D

The S281 looks great from up close but from the other side of a parking lot the car looks like it doesn't have a wing from behind. Kind of annoying.

I love the aggressive feeling and look the S351 and SR wing give Saleen cars.

They obviously look like **** in my pics because my car isn't dropped, doesn't have the right rims, the wings aren't painted, has NASTY tips and of course my camera phone doesn't help for ****.

I'm getting paint for the car next month, i've decided to stick to white so i'll be updating my build thread in the next 2-3 weeks with fresh paint :headbang:

Also, as far as rims go i'm gonna be breaking the rules a bit lol *Hint* They're gonna be 2 peice wheels *Hint* :angel4:

The S281 is my favorite of the three...the S351 is decent...but come on, the SR wing looks REDICULOUS!

I would be flat out embarassed to drive a mustang with an SR wing, even if it was a true Saleen.

eh.. Most people who grew up around Saleens will respect my combination of parts, others will hate it.

I guess its maybe just from the cars I've been around. I like having my cars correct to their generation, only things that are not gonna be correct on the car are wheels, the c-pillars and i'm not gonna get the recaros or the alcon brakes. Everything else will be 94-98 S351 correct. I have every other part to make the car look authentic and these were the final peices.

The car is gonna be fully decked out to S351 specs except the block.

Is it gonna be worth it to go through all the hassle to make the car look authentic? Honestly, no.

The true Saleen enthusiasts have all disappeared and I was too young and missed the whole generation of Saleen nuts. I come across mustang guys everyday who compliment the car and it disappoints me. In the early 2000's I would've gotten lauged out for the car being such a poor replica. BTW I didn't build this car.

I'll enjoy the car for a couple of months after its done and it will most likely go up for sale.

the 351 is definitely nice, and other than needing some paint, it looks good on the car.

The true Saleen enthusiasts have all but disappeared?? Man I don't know where you have been but not on the right forums thats for sure!! Try the Saleen Club of America forums. They are having their national event in Castle Rock Colorado this year and Saleen's from across the country are going. I'm going with about 5 other Saleen's for the 3000mi round trip!

Here's my 2 S351's. One with the SR and one with the T-1 race wing.

I think that if the Ricers hadn't liked the SR so much and started using it there wouldn't be the dislike of it so much today. Back when the cars were new I never heard anyone say anything bad about it. I'm probably going back to the standard S351 wing on that car for the summer.....I just want a change! I do the same with the wheels, now I have a set of chrome "Magnesium" style wheels on. I have 5 different sets of Saleen wheels to switch the look around!

That T1 is aggressive! It looks great on your s351. I had one but it just didn't look right on my sn95 vert and put back my s281 on. It made my car look really back heavy like the duckbill Boss Shinoda wing. But with the right look (or an authentic s351 for that matter) they look completely awesome.
