A local guy is selling this bare block but doesn't know much about it. Says it's a new ford racing small block, just trying to find out if it's the same as my 95 302 block, if it's not then there's no point of making the trip

that looks like its just a stock 8.2" block. its not a a4 or r302... you can tell by the water passages in the deck. if it was a a4 / r302 there are two water jackets at each bolt hole since its a siemese block

edit... see below

Yeah I picked it up for $150, I talked to woody from Fordstrokers and he told me it was just a stock block. The good thing is that it's a brand new untouched block.

thats a good price. summit and jegs use to sell them for 299 when they were still being cast.

There is a big difference between a powdercoated block and a stock new block... I dont see a carbon lip on the cyls or anything.

Yeah, it's new never used but it had been in storage for a while. Still has the factory numbers in ink on the deck

Lol, thanks, should be ready to go tomorrow but I won't be able to pick it up until Tuesday. I'm going to be using the rotating assembly out of the 92 block I have, new rings, new bearings, ARP hardware throughout, and I have a new TFS top end that's gonna go on it. I'm still debating wether or not to put on the D1SC, I want this thing on the road now and I've exhausted my bank account.
