Can't spin tires in 2nd????

Spinning isn't that important, it's just that it SHOULD and it doesn't... When I shift intp 2nd, it kinda bogs out a little bit and usually makes a back fire... idk if its because my mid-pipe or not... car runs pretty well except for the boggging out... im gonna clean the maf, throttle body, maybe some other things, and change my mid-pipe and see if that helps...

oh ok. right on. i dont like h pipes. the x pipe will make a lil more power especially when u really start to mod the car. ie hci.

mine loves to spin in second... first is kinda over kill. third is a chirp and go.. 4th is my power gear.. pulls like a raped ape!

With my LCA and my 285 nittos even with 4.10's I dont get that much wheel spin....

Ya, what kind of tires are on your cobra now? and what kind did you have on your fox?... When I got my car, it hooked real nice with the DR's on it.

My last car wasn't a fox.. It was a 95 GT. I believe I have 245/45/17 Pirelli tires. I have a set of DR's but i dont know if i should use those for everday driving.

Just a thought... could any of this be because of my IAT sensor going into the air intake? because only 1 of the 2 wires is hooked up on that sensor?

If not what else could it be? =(

Also, don't forget that the Fox cars are a bit lighter. I have an 89GT and 95 GTS and the 89 spins 2nd with ease, and the 95 has to be right in the power band. When I put my 17 wheels with 255's on the back, it gets a lot harder to do it. 3.73 will fix that next month.

i also say check your timing again and when u advance it to 14degrees run 93 octane. your car may have some other underlying problem. mine isnt running 100percent right now either its having idling problems in traffic wants to continuously stall. havent had time to figure it out. im sure its probably something minor

I have 18 inch Bullitts and 275's with 4:10's and mine wont spin for shit.

the sn95 cars hook better than fox cars, but it should still spin some in 2nd and even chirp into 3rd if its running right, check the wiring on the IAT, check/clean the MAF, are you getting any check engine lights while doing this driving and getting the backfire? Check and set the timing also always remember to take the SPOUT out when adjusting the timing and putting it back after you get it where you want it.

only 1 wire is connected on my IAT sensor, Im buyin a new one tomorrow... MAF is clean as a whistle, I'm gonna adjust the timing within a few weeks, check engine light is always on but IDC lol. And im installing an x-pipe so hopefully this will solve my problem lol
