Ok, I had a noise in my T-5 trans after I incorrectly put the throwout bearing. I installed it correctly this time, but still got the noise. So I thought about maybe aftermarket pivot ball that was in my king cobra clutch kit should have been install. So after reinstalling my trans I got to noise down. But now it won't go in gear when my car is on the ground be will when its on the lift. When its on the ground I inches forward but won't go in gear. I need help. I have a adjustable cable, I have adjusted many of times samething.

This is tough to e-diagnose, but I'd guess your pivot ball isn't at the correct installed height, thus preventing the fork from actuating the throwout bearing/pressure plate adequately to release the pressure on the disc. Thus, you can't get the car into gear.

Possibly your Pilot bearing is not letting things engage properly.

If the transmission wasn't installed properly, and is "cocked" at an angle and not seated appropriately, then the pilot bearing could be obstructing it - that would be unlikely because you'd notice it during installation of the trans. (I would hope anyway)

I would think also but if you have not replaced the pilot bearing and lost the inner wall of it then you would have a problem.... Not trying to under estimate just trying to get to the bottom of it.
