The biggest issue brought to my attention however is the heat that it presents and the lack of space it leaves. The car is a daily, and by daily I mean its the only one I have and is driven at least a tank a week. So heat doesnt seem like something that is desirable in the long run.

Centri is a good way to go but you may end up putting too much tension on the belt trying to keep the belt from slipping unless you upgrade the pulley system. vortech does offer a 3 year warranty but you can not go with a different size pulley to keep the warranty. Turbo does make more heat and has a lot more pipe to run and modifiying to do depending on what kit you go with but depending on the size of the turbo you go with will make more power with the same amount of boost and its different not everybody at the car show in a mustang will have a turbo kit.

8psi or turbo is better than 8psiof centri right? Or am I way off? I really like turbo but the idea of heat bothers me. I need a tried and true turbo guy to come in here and assure me I wont be burning things in my bay.

Try the FORCED INDUCTION AND TUNING part of the forum and you will find the answer you are after , but as long as you wrap everything up and put a turbo blanket you wont have any heat problems.

you can't compare psi from one to the other. psi doesn't mean anything for a couple reasons.

you need to compare apples to apples. look at the white papers / compressor maps for the turbo and supercharger you car comparing. then also take into account that every turbo kit you are going to look at has a intercooler (needs one) whereas a lot of the supercharger kits do not have one since they don't need one (better adibiatic efficiency).

check out turbomustangs.com you can have a daily driven turbo mustang it's not impossible. The cool thing about turbos is if your drivin around town you can lower the psi then when you hit the track you can turn it up, just a thought.

I payed vortech $650 to do a minor rebuild on my old s trim, and bought a whole custom built gtq 76mm turbo for $800. I can turn up the boost any time I get ready no pulley changes needed. My turbo will make 50psi. if I want it to-a standard si vortech kit will make what 21-25.

s-trim with h/c/1 pushed my car to 11.12 @ 126. didn't lose races often

psi doesn't mean anything other then your motor doesn't breathe. cfm and compressor maps are what matter

i can make 50 psi in a coffee straw with my mouth, won't do my motor much good
