Cost for gear swap is around $400-$600 by a reputable shop, don't know how much more it'll be to swap out the rest. I have 3:73s on my 5 speed and freeway RPMs at 65 are around 22-2300

Didn't see any Loss in mileage but maybe 1 MPG from my 3.08 to a 3.73 but i do all city driving.

Total for everything should be $650-$700 and that is with every part you need.

Mine consisted of
Rear%20End.bmp

FRPP 3.73 Ring and Pinion
FRPP Carbon Disc
FRPP Rebuild Kit
Valvoline 75w90 Full Syn
Fric Modifier

Labor Total was $250

That included install Ring and Pinion and Rebuild the Trac Lok

i have allready bought all of the parts that are needed last year when i had my 97 gt now i have a 94 that the parts will work in i was just worried about the mpg and how high the highway rpms would be.
the cool thing about this whole sitution is that i have kinda made friends with a ford master tech that is going to help me with the swap for 250$ so im geting off cheap on the labor and he is going to teach me how to do this so if im not happy with the set up i can change the gears myself the next time around.

I went from 2.73s to 4.10s. (auto tho)

300 in parts all ford
45 minutes to do the job (new axle bearings, trac-loc pack, R/P install, everything)

Gas mileage is the same, all city.
Power difference is unreal, feels like its 1,000 lbs lighter.

But instead of 2K rpm at 70, its nearly 3K.
