went to drive my car around today, it has been a couple of weeks sence it has been out. i have a trunk mounted deep cycle optima battery, so i charged it up for little while, drove it around for about 20 mins, then my battery light came on, and the voltmeter was reading around 10 volts. this is while i was crusing at 45mph at 2000 rpm. pushed in the clutch, engine idles down to 1000 rpm(which is idle speed sence dyno tune 2years ago) and battery light went off, and volts went back to 14-ish. if i idle the car up, sittin in the driveway, past 1800 rpm, battery light comes on, volts drop. i charged the battery for a good 4 hours, it is good. belt seems to tight enough, cant hear no slipping. anyone agree of a faulty alternator, even though it has good charging at idle? :help2:
