Hey, I've got a '95 Gt 5-speed. On decerlation or even when cruising and just slightly letting off the throttle, I get a constant "chirping" noise from I think the rear of the car.
I'm stumped on this noise!!!
Happens only when car is driven for a while(till warmed up), then all of a sudden release the throttle and "Chirp!, Chirp! Chirp!, Chirp!!..etc"..just touch the throttle and noise goes away..so to me noise is related to load. Touching the brakes, reving engine in neutral or even shutting the engine "Off" and coasting in neutral changes nothing to the noise.
I've greased the universals, there fairly new, I installed a new aluminum DS, noise was there prior to installing a aluminum DS last year, I've checked gear oil, full(I have 4.10 FRPP gears with royal purple lube, noise as there prior to gear install). I've jacked up vehicle on left side to extreme then right side to try and soak the axle bearings...no change in noise!!
I've been fighting this noise now for 2 years now and can't relate it to anything, My next step would be to install chassis ears and go driving..
..anyone else have a similar fault???
