chp stroker kit

OK y'all I'm new to engine building I've never been past basic bolt ons but I want more power and I like torque whic
h I think 347 is great for power across The rpm range correct? What else would I need if I was to buy a 347 striker kit to make the engine run can any of parts be used from the original motor? Which kit u recommend? I can do it over winter cus It wont be driven. Any help is appreciated

Or is precision engine.com a Good place I are they have rebuilt engines in which I really like the sound of the 351w 380 HP 400 Ya for 3100. What else would I need if I was to go that route.

I don't have any experience in the stroker field, but what I can tell you is that although the 351w has more room for power you will spend a lot more cash. With the 302 based engine you can re-use your accesories and although not recommended you can reuse your stock heads and intake.

i just did a DSS 347 stroker and reused my stock intake and heads.........it could run a lot better than it does

+1 on the accessories issue.

ALSO, remember the 351 block is heavier, bigger and TALLER than the 302 block. for a 351 you should use different motor mounts to make you engine sit lower.

It could turn into a big mess that might take a long time to fix

I wouldn't rebuild the engine yourself if you arn't familiar with what you are doing. If you do plan on doing it yourself, make sure you have someone with you that can guide you while you do it.

OK thanks for the help I'm wanting around 400 tq and HP so 347 stroked kit with nice heads intake and such would probably get me close then. And ya ill probably get someone to do it or help

Should be close to 400 at the flywheel with a custom cam

they will vary somewhat depending on mods but somewhere in that range. Mine is 3,584 with me in it
