afrew days ago when i got on it, i mashed the clutch and shifted to second and my clutch dissapeared, like stuck to the floor. I put my foot under the pedel and i pulled on it, it gave resistence but then released. It was fine till yesterday, but it happened again. Same deal i just gave a good pull on it, but does anyone know why this keeps happening. :dunno:

if you still have the stock clutch quadrant, i wouldnt be surprised if its starting to act up. the quadrant is the plastic part under the dash that the clutch cable rides on.

yeah, steeda makes some. if you go with an aftermarket, non-adjustable one (better because its not made of plastic like the stock one), you will need to get the firewall adjuster so you can properly adjust the cable.

You need a new clutch, your clutch is probably shot.

I was driving my car one day and when to shift into 3rd and the clutch wouldnt come back off the floor. Clutch was Gone.

^You are gonna hate shiftin with a setup like that 2red. every time you granny shift or rip through teh gears your gonna have to push the clutch all the way in. i like mine to disengage quick in the middle helps with shiftin. but hey, you might like it. i know i wouldnt though. :thumb:

how do you go about installing the firewall adjuster?.. i'm sick of where my clutch engages.

thats easy, there are 2 7mm or 6mm bolts that hold the cable to the firewall. you take those screws out, take the cable out, insert the firewall adjuster, and then using only 1 of the screws, you bolt it in. save the other screw incase you ever go back to stock. on the cable, you are going to have to take off that rubber thing it has.

i had it like that, it was ok, but it got tiring after awhile. i had it to the point where the pedal was lower than the brake pedal, and it engaged as soon as you took pressure off the pedal. didnt like it afterawhile, and no the pedal is slightly higher than the brake, and it engages about 1/4 of the way from the bottom.

Well the clutch only has about 5k on it, and it still clamps real hard, just does that weird stick to the floor thing every now and then. when its on the floor it still works, just has almost no travel,

hey, my friend just went thru a simliar problem, where the clutch would still work, but it would pretty much stay at the floor. turns out the spring on the factory clutch quadrant was binding. he fixed it and now its as good as new
