Well I got one side done on Saturday and I will tell you it wasn't the easiest. All was going well until I went to take out the bolts that hold the caliper cradle to the spindle. You think I could break them loose? Hell no! :mad:And to add insult I ended up rounding off the bolt head! Oh was I not having a good time. Went to AutoZone and bought a bolt extractor kit. The friggin thing snapped off in the head!! So I ended up taking my sawzall and slicing down between the bracket and spndle cutting through the 2 bolts. Then I needed to grind down that cut surface and use a washer between the new caliper bracket and spindle. I have the driver side soaking in PB Blaster. Hoping it goes smoother!

IMO, every stang should have the 13" brakes.
Looks 100x better, and even stops better, too.

You were unlucky, my Cobra upgrade went far easier than it should have been.
Just got round to fitting the master cylinder last week, saves having to stomp on the pedal so much.
I agree, they should have been standard as 13", just Ford penny pinching. :(

Lowes. They're little .29/ea. chrome plugs that pop in :thumb: Just used a socket to tap them in nice and flush.

I looked for a link before going another hardware store and had no luck finding them.
I was going to go to Lowes tonight, but not if they truly are $4/ea.

Did you pay each or for all four?

That looks sweet. I cant wait to get a cobra break kit and get it on. Can you buy the calipers in that silver chrome color or did you make them like that? I was wondering cause I dont know if i want to run red calipers or those silver ones with my paint. I dont knwo what will look best with my paint color.
