Does the coil and TFI ground through the chassis at all? I ask because I am getting a low voltage problem where the coil can get down to 10v while cranking and I am sure that is below the critical voltage needed for it to work correctly and the way I have them mounted now on a powder coated bracket they are probably not getting much of a ground if they do ground through the chassis. I am going to add a strap to them both just to be sure but I was curious if anyone else knew for sure? It looks like the coil has a plastic case but I am not sure if the metal pieces that the screws go through are not grounded inside somehow?
